The Founding opens the Zelosian year and is the one Holy Day both traditions keep exactly alike, marking the first coronation of the first mortal magistrates in ancient Aebasa. Temples of both the Imperial Ecclesia and the Aebasan Orthodoxy read the same passage from the Book of the State at dawn, and it is traditional for any officeholder beginning a new term, whatever their rank, to time their own oath of office to fall on or near this day if the calendar of their own government allows it.
