- After victory of the Medellans in the Battle of Denamore, the victorious Zetian general Crassus of House Zetar delares Medellans subject to House Zetar and their ally, the Camarian King Sergius II his personal client. The Zetian Senate revokes the proclamation later that year, but the concept that a King might be personally considered a client of a member of one of the Great Houses takes hold in popular imagination in the Republic, paving the inevitable road towards Empire.
