At the age of 105, the half-elven King Orris of Neptaris abdicates his crown after failing to resolve a rebellion by Politos of House Rimman. As his last act of office, Orris designates his mentor, Regent Joandar, to select his successor. He then takes the cloth and becomes a monk of Clementia the Dove.
