- The War of Flame begins between Berig of House Gautaz of Nadera and House Vazdid of Lagorka due to a series of misunderstandings over a shipping accident in Lagorkan waters. Nadera finds itself unprepared for the onslaught and many Naderan cities are burned.
1582
- King Berig of House Gautaz of Nadera is captured at the Battle of the Dusk Hills by the Lagorkan forces of House Vazdid, ending the War of the Flame. Nadera becomes a colony of Lagorka under the patronage/ownership of House Vazdid (later called the Vazdid Occupation). The Saphracine Watch is founded to guard Vazdid interests there.
