The first city is generally marked by the foundation of [[Thenos]] in [[Aebasa]] by [[Saint Kyson the Architect]], who laid out the initial plan of the city and gathered several local tribes to compose the first city. Kyson was a worshiper of [[Vitulus]], though [[Ptharos|Lord Ptharos]] directed the participation of all his descendants during foundation.

Though the city was initially ruled by the chieftains of the tribes Saint Kyson had gathered, before the end of the first century [[Autarch Vilyattes]] had come to rule Thenos and began to establish the [[Vilyan Dynasty]] in Aebasa. As a result, other human tribes in the region began to establish their own city-states for protection, including [[Tarranio]], [[Prateon]], [[Pencana]] and [[Epidos]].

The foundation of Thenos is generally considered by most scholars to be the dawn of [[the First Age of Man]].
